Congratulations! You’re getting married!
Now what?
Take some advice from a former las vegas Wedding Coordinator:
Why should you take advice from me? I’ve coordinated many, many, many ceremonies through Vegas Weddings and have had the pleasure to assist in planning several weddings for friends and family. Also, husband & I busted out a very elegant 350 person wedding within 4 months of our engagement. Booyah.

Vegas Weddings
I am a former Wedding Coordinator for Vegas Weddings. Before joining their team, I imagined the vast majority of weddings in Las Vegas were cheesy and not taken seriously. Happily, I can announce that’s not the case at all. Vegas Weddings provides elegant ceremony settings with a friendly staff and has several different package options. They specialize in everything from quick intimate ceremonies to large all-inclusive celebrations, whatever you’d like for your special day. And yes, they know Elvis. 😉

Clark County Marriage License Bureau
Want to get married in Vegas, but have no idea where or how to start planning? Your first order of business is to get your marriage license. The marriage license is valid for one year and the ceremony must be completed by a licensed officiant in Nevada. Click here to fill out your marriage license application online. Once the ceremony is done, the officiant must file your document with the Marriage License Bureau within 10 days. After the Marriage License Bureau has your marriage registered in their system, you can order a certified copy of your marriage certificate. The Certified Copy of your Marriage Certificate is what you need to legally prove your marriage. This is the document you show government agencies, banks, insurance carriers, work, etc. that you really did get married. I recommend getting 2 or 3 certified documents because most government agencies want an original document; they won’t allow just a copy. If you’re trying to change your name and mail out your certified doc to get a new passport, it’s going to take several weeks to get your document back, and you’ll probably need your certified doc for the other thousand companies where you’ll need to change your name in the meantime. Just bite the bullet and get multiple certified docs. It will make the changing your name process soooooo much easier.
